The Old Town (Altstadt) is located in the heart of Cologne, about 200 metres from the Cathedral. The Home of the Gnomes (“Heimat der Heinzel“) is spread throughout the Altstadt, taking in Alter Markt and Heumarkt. 

Park + Ride:
We strongly advise you to use the Park+Ride car parks located outside the city centre. This also means your vehicle does not need a green clean-exhaust sticker (“Feinstaub-Plakette).

By subway (U-Bahn): 
The Christmas market in the Old Town is easy to reach both from the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the Heumarkt stop (Lines 1, 7, 9). 

By car: 
In the city centre, follow the electronic parking guidance system and use the Dom, Philharmonie, Groß St. Martin or Heumarkt multi-storey car parks.
